Education Disrupted, Education Reimagined: Thoughts and Responses from Education’s Frontline During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond

The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), in support of Qatar Foundation’s UNGA Global Goals week platform, is hosting a virtual session launching a WISE Special Edition eBook titled Education Disrupted, Education Reimagined: Thoughts and Responses from Education’s Frontline During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond.

Throughout the first five months of the COVID-19 pandemic, education thought leaders and stakeholders from over 98 countries engaged in a series of global conferences aimed at bringing the global education community together. As a result of the series, contributors generated “a contemporary historical record of how schools, NGOs, governments, and international organizations responded to school closures during the crisis and how they are attempting to use this crisis as a springboard to reimagine—and even transform—education in their communities and countries.”

The Learner First founder Joanne McEachen and other members of the Executive Team of Karanga: The Global Alliance for Social Emotional Learning and Life Schools are among the over 40 authors who contributed to the eBook. Check out their conclusion—“What’s Next for the Future of Education?”—when the eBook is released on September 29, and tune in to the virtual launch to learn more.
