Matthew is the Director of Research at The Learner First, where he has spent the last eight years analyzing the impact of The Learner First’s tools and processes on students, educators, and schools. He has helped lead the development of the Contributive Learning framework, which integrates academic and social-emotional learning in everyday instruction so that self-understanding, connection, knowledge, and competency are intentional outcomes of everyday learning.
Matthew is co-author of The Depthvale Detectives and the Great Education Crisis: A Guide to Contributive Learning in Schools and Measuring Human Return. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and lives in Seattle, Washington.
